Corporate identity: broad definition
A corporate identity in the broad sense refers to the identity of the company and goes beyond strictly visual aspects. It also concerns communication and the co-workers ‘ behaviour. These 3 elements (design, communication and behaviour) all deserve equal attention when composing the corporate identity.
Corporate identity: strict definition
A corporate identity in the strict sense is the organisation’s visual identity. It concerns only the symbolic part of the corporate identity i.e. name, logo, colour, typography (letter type), graphic language (squares, curves, lay-out) and photography style.
